How to Download IMVU
To download the IMVU 3D Client for Windows devices, follow these steps:

2. Open the file you downloaded and click Run.
3. Click on Install and then wait for the process to finish running.
4. Patiently wait for the IMVU login screen to pop up. When it appears, enter your password and username and click Login.
If you have a Mac device, do the following:
1. Download the .DMG file.
2. Proceed by downloading the latest version for Mac on the IMVU Downloads page.
3. Once the file is downloaded, double-click it.
4. The .DMG will now appear on the desktop and in the Finder sidebar. You will also see a new Finder window showing the file’s contents.
5. Move the IMVU icon from this window into the Applications icon, which can be located in either in the Finder sidebar or in the same window.
6. Patiently wait for the copying to complete.
7. Hit the Eject button in your sidebar to eject the .DMG file. You may now choose to delete the .DMG file from your downloads folder or not.

8. Click on Create IMVU Account button.
9. You can now enjoy the features of IMVU.

Login
To login to your IMVU account, follow these steps:
STEP I
1. Open a new browser.
2. Type www.imvu.com.
3. Move to the top of the login page and click on Member Login button.
4. Type in your avatar/email address and password in the spaces provided.
5. Click on the Login icon beside the buttons.

STEP II
1. After making your way to IMVU login page.

How to Get Badges on IMVU
Best described as a “friendship pin” on IMVU, the essence of the IMVU badges is to allow you to create and share them with your friends. With them, you can express yourself and exhibit your connections with groups or friends as well. To find your favourite badges, move to the IMVU website and then to the place where your profile picture is displayed. Once you get to the area, select any badge you like.
Steps on how to get your favourite badges
1. Find the badge you like: You can achieve this by searching for an avatar with the badge you want at the bottom of the card. If you eventually find it, simply on the avatar’s name to display its profile card. Then select the one you like.
2. Go through the user’s profile to see more information about the badge: To have access to the user’s profile home page, click on “Profile” at the lower-left corner on the avatar profile card. If you can’t find the badge you are looking for, then you need to look for another avatar that has the same badge on its homepage.
3. Select the badge: When you eventually find the homepage that has the badge you like, click on the badge beside the profile picture. Once you do this, it is expected that the user’s friends should appear at the bottom (that is, if they didn’t set their profile to private). The next thing you need to do is to click on the badge, which will bring up the extended image. Once the image comes up, click it, you will direct you to the badge’s info page, where you will see the name of the badge.
4. Move to the badge’s avatar page: Open your browser window and enter in “avatars.imvu.com/[badge name]” in the address bar without the brackets and quote. It will automatically move you to an avatar page of the badge’s developer. Then, look for your favorite badge at the bottom of the page and click on “Request badge” if you find it. An information pop-up should appear, notifying you that the badge has been sent to you.
5. Showcase the badge: It’s time to use the badge now that you have received it. To start using it, move back to the right part of the page where you requested the badge and click on “Account”. This should take you to your profile page, where you should be taken to the tools, settings, and accounts for your profile. Keep scrolling down until you get to the place where you see your profile card. Right below it, you will see a list of available badges. Drag the badge of your choice to an empty badge slot on your profile card and it will immediately appear on your profile card.
To check your new badge, move to the top of the page and click on your profile picture. You’ll find your new badge on your profile card right under all your displayed badges.
Take note of the following points:
1. The price of IMVU badge depends on the size you choose.
2. You can give out any number of badges you want to your friends.
3. Although most people usually create badges of 1 tile wide and 1 tile high, you can still create badges of 5 tiles wide and 5 tiles high.
4. If you can’t find an avatar with badges, simply search ‘IMVU badge’ on google. You will find a website called The Bling Directory. It features all the available badges (for trade, free, or buy). You can choose your favourite badge from there and then move to the respective homepage.
How to Delete your IMVU Account
There is no special knowledge required in disabling your IMVU account. For several reasons, people keep their account unused and delete them as well. If you want to delete your account, follow the steps below:
1. First, you need to get to the Delete Account page. You can do that by clicking here.
2. Input your account password on the Delete Account page.
3. Click Continue to proceed.
4. Patiently wait for the Success page to pop up. Once this is done, you will receive a confirmation email, notifying you that you have successfully deleted your account.
