Keep informed about Picochip
The PC7608 is a highly integrated, single-width, full-height Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) targeting both LTE and WiMAX baseband applications.
Based on the PC203-10 picoArray processor, the PC7608 delivers over 60GMACS of DSP performance. For LTE developers, the card will run Picochip’s 3GPP-compliant LTE PHY (PC8608 for FDD operation and PC8609 for TDD). It can also run Picochip’s industry-standard PC8532 WiMAX PHY software.
The board performs physical layer operations, with logical-to-physical channel translation and conversion to baseband I/Q samples performed within the picoArray. It supports channel bandwidths of up to 10MHz and maximum downlink data rates in excess of 86Mbit/s.
The board forms a key part of Picochip’s PC9608 LTE development system. Its PCI-Express interface allows it to be combined within a µTCA chassis with a host processor card for higher-layer processing and RF mezzanine card enabling over-the-air operation. This modular approach enables the development of scalable LTE solutions.
