picoChip CEO appointed to Global Semiconductor Association Board of Directors
The Global Semiconductor Association (GSA – formerly the FSA – Fabless Semiconductor Association) has appointed Guillaume d’Eyssautier, picoChip President and CEO, to the GSA Board of Directors.
Other Board members include Dr Dwight Decker (GSA Chairman and Non-Executive Chairman Conexant Systems Inc), Dr Sanjay Jha (GSA Vice Chairman and Qualcomm COO and President) and Dr Aart de Geus (Chairman and CEO of Synopsys Inc).
“I am delighted to serve on GSA’s Board of Directors,” said Guillaume. “picoChip has benefited to a great extent from its membership of GSA and it will be an honour for me to repay this by contributing to the goals and principles of the organization to further guide GSA’s initiatives.”.
Vice Mayor of Shenzhen visits picoChip in Bath
Companies from across the region hosted a visit from Chinese dignitaries including Zhuo Qinrui, the Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, as part of an international trade visit organised by the South West of England Regional Development Agency (South West RDA). picoChip sees China as a strategic focus with its first international base outside of the UK having been deployed in Shenzhen in 2004.
Separately, picoChip is presenting at Cambridge Wireless “Wireless China” on working with China.
picoChip appoints a Vice President of Operations
Jackie Barker has recently joined picoChip from ClearSpeed Technology and before that with HP in Bristol as Supply Chain Manager for the tape drive business. Jackie is responsible for picoChip manufacturing production outsourcing and strategic procurement, especially supporting high volume manufacture.
