The picoChip PC302 device is a highly integrated, high-performance baseband processor for HSPA femtocells. The PC302 together with picoChip software offers the cheapest single-chip solution for up to 4 users for full rate HSPA femtocells. Other products in PC3xx family will target different standards and even higher performance.

picoChip have announced the availability of the industry’s first LTE femtocell and picocell reference designs, the PC8608 Home eNodeB and PC8618 eNodeB respectively. Both PC86xx family small-cell LTE reference designs build on picoChip’s successes as the leader in femtocells. Both products can be combined with picoChip’s HSPA products and run on the same common hardware platform as the company’s industry-standard WiMAX reference designs.

picoChip has received the Best of WiMAX World EMEA 2008 Award for the company's PC6530 single-chip WiMAX femtocell reference design in the Industry Innovation category. The annual awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of WiMAX technologies.

Guillaume d'Eyssautier, president and CEO of picoChip, fought off competition from 52 of the region's finest business men and women to win the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award in the Technology and Communications category.

d'Eyssautier was commended by the independent judging panel for his ‘determination’ and ‘innovation’.
