| picoChip showcases femtocells, WiMAX and LTE at MWC ‘09 At MWC ’09 picoChip will reveal the reality of two of the hottest technologies in today’s communications industry; femtocells and LTE. Our stand (1D56 in Hall 1) will feature demonstrations of our multi-standard reference platforms and system-on-chip solutions, including live video streaming via LTE. As a committed member of the Femto Forum, we are also participating actively in the FemtoZone, a central point of information at MWC ’09 for all things femtocell. The FemtoZone will feature public presentations from operators and vendors; picoChip’s VP of Marketing Rupert Baines is amongst the presenters, and will share details of picoChip’s latest advances in integrating femtocells with the wider network. |

| Femto Forum study: interference not a barrier to deployment A recent study by the Femto Forum has concluded that interference between the macro and femto networks need not be a barrier to femtocell deployment. The study – to which picoChip was an active contributor – identified a number of technologies that can mitigate interference, and found that femtocells can deliver an order of magnitude more capacity than the macro network alone in dense deployments. |
