Now in its 7th year, the 2010 Next Generation Networks & Basestations Conference allowed delegates to listen to some of the industry’s thought leaders and discuss critical elements for success.  Picochip was a Gold Sponsor of the event.

The 2010 conference built on 2009’s highly successful event, which featured 12 keynotes from leading operators including “3”, Cable & Wireless, China Mobile, Orange, T-Mobile, Telecom Italia, Telefonica, TeliaSonera and Vodafone.

At NGN and Basestations 2010, Dr Paul Neil, Picochip's WiMAX & LTE Product Manager,  provided an invaluable insight into the key elements of the infrastructure that lies at the core of LTE. In the exhibition, Picochip will be showing its PC960x LTE eNodeB development system.

Picochip's co-founder and CTO Dr Doug Pulley chaired the conference on Tuesday morning, as delegates discussed a wide range of topics including the potential of femtocells to offload traffic from existing networks.
