LTE World Summit
18 May 2010 - 19 May 2010, Hotel Okura, Amsterdam
The 2010 LTE World Summit
was an exciting event for Picochip. At the Informa LTE Awards, the company's PC960x LTE eNodeB, developed in conjunction with Continuous Computing and Cavium Networks, was named Best Enabling Technology. You can read more about the awards by clicking here.
Despite severely disrupted travel schedules caused by the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, Dr Doug Pulley, Picochip's CTO, was able to host an LTE masterclass covering topics as diverse as interf
erence management, provisioning, operations and maintenance, and lawful intercept.
Dr Pulley is one of the world's leading authorities on air interface design and wireless system architecture. As Picochip's CTO he heads a team of technologists who have made key contributions to solving small cell interference challenges for both 3G and LTE, as well as authoring definitive studies and recommendations on interference and network management for the Femto Forum and 3GPP RAN3 and RAN4. He was recently named EE Times' 'Innovator of the Year' at its ACE awards.
If you were unable to attend the Picochip masterclass, and would like to receive a copy of Dr Pulley's presentation, simply click here to send us an email request.
LTE World Summit also included six conference tracks, covering all aspects of LTE deployment. During the Next Generation Core Networks sessions, Picochip Director of Corporate Marketing Andy Gothard, presenting on behalf of the Femto Forum, provided an update on progress in the femtocell market, and an overview of some of the implications for core network architectures of the uptake of femtocells.
Mr Gothard's presentation is available on request by emailing us.
