The management team has many years of experience with global technology companies and wireless operators around the world, while the team of over 100 hardware and software engineers has world leading experience in communications system design, software development, computer architecture, digital signal processing, RF design, and silicon design.
Guillaume d'Eyssautier
Chief Executive Officer
Guillaume joins picoChip from Cadence Design Systems, where he was Senior VP and General Manager EMEA. Prior to joining Cadence, Guillaume served as Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at IBM Technology Group, which IBM Microelectronics and Storage were part of. He also worked for Conexant (Rockwell Semiconductor Systems), GEC-Plessey Semiconductors. Educated in France, his early career included positions at Philips Semiconductors, Signetics Corp. USA, and Matra Harris Semiconductors.
Peter Claydon
Chief Operating Officer and co-founder
Prior to founding picoChip, Peter was General
Manager of Oak Technology Limited, which was sold to Conexant Systems
in January 2000. He has 20 years of management and engineering experience,
having previously worked at Pioneer, Brooktree and The General Electric
Company (now Marconi).
Dr. Douglas Pulley
Chief Technical Officer and co-founder
Doug has fifteen years' experience of air interface design and wireless system architecture at companies such as Vodafone, Lucent Technologies and Oak Technology before joining picoChip in December 2000. He has been responsible for the systems aspects of air interface implementation in RF, ASIC and DSP devices as well as the deployment, operation and performance optimisation of wireless networks. Doug was a founding director and member of the executive board of the UK's Virtual Centre of Excellence in Mobile and Personal Communications.
Steve Laurenson
Vice President Engineering
Steve joins picoChip from Agere Systems (formerly Lucent Technologies Microelectronics), where, amongst other roles, he established the company’s 50-strong European GSM Development Centre. In this role, and subsequently as Agere’s Mobile Terminal Division’s Technical Services Director, he has extensive experience in directing teams to develop, deploy and support handset reference designs.
Iain Silvester
Chief Financial Officer
Iain joins the company from holding the position of finance director at Bristol, UK-based video compression technology specialist Motion Media PLC, where he managed the company's flotation on the official list of the LSE (London Stock Exchange). Iain Silvester is a chartered accountant, and began his career with Ernst & Young. Prior to joining Motion Media he was finance director of Chemical Design Holdings plc, an AIM-listed drug discovery software company, and managed it’s subsequent acquisition by Oxford Molecular Group.
Rupert Baines
Vice President of Marketing
Rupert has spent eighteen years in technology marketing, working on commercialising
many leading edge technologies. He spent six years with Analog Devices in
Boston, working on semiconductors for GSM and wireless infrastructure before
managing their Broadband product line and holding responsibility for the
industry-standard ADSL chipset. He has also worked for operators, most recently
as Director of Product Development and Strategy for Atlantic Telecom, where
he ran a large pan-European DSL rollout and trialled wireless broadband
deployments.
Dave Hutton
Vice President Worldwide Sales
Dave joins picoChip from Pericom Semiconductors running the European Sales
operations. He has spent over 23 years in sales & marketing positions in the
semiconductor and wireless industries. Dave began his career as a design
engineer. He spent 9 years at Texas Instruments in Sales Management and
Systems Marketing before moving to IDT for a further 9 years where he was
European Sales Director. More recently he worked for European based
semiconductor IP start-ups Silaria and Siroyan where he was Vice President
of Sales.
Will Robbins
Vice President of Silicon, Tools and Platforms
Will was one of the founding team at picoChip and has over seventeen years' experience in semiconductor design and design
management and in recent years has managed semiconductor design projects
that have consistently produced "right first time" silicon for
highly complex devices. Will is named as inventor or co-inventor in 29 US
patents. Most recently design manager at Oak Technology, he has worked in
a number of other companies including INMOS, Brooktree and ST Microelectronics.
Mike Davison
Director of Operations
Mike was General Manager of Conexant Digital Infotainment until June 2001.
In more than 20 years in the industry, Mike has held a variety of technical
and managerial positions in semiconductor and board-level design, manufacture
and test. Mike started his career at GEC Telecommunications (now Marconi)
and has since worked at Brooktree, Pioneer and Oak Technology.
