Established in 2000, picoChip is the leader in multi-core DSP, with a field-proven product line that is deployed by customers around the world. We have built a global presence that includes development sites in Europe and China, with sales and support operations throughout the worldOur global presence spans Europe, China and the USA. This includes; we have assembled an outstanding team with worldindustry-leading expertise in silicon design, tools, software and systems.

Because picoChip’s products deliver dramatically better performance-per-dollar than legacy processors or FPGAs, they are particularly apt solutions to the challenges of next-generation wireless systems. By backing our programmable hardware with robust, carrier-class software, we can deliver complete solutions that cut costs and development time, while retaining the flexibility our customers need to differentiate their products.

Our software-defined radio technology is currently in use by over a hundred network operators. We sell to seven of the top ten telecoms equipment makers; some of our publicallypublicly announced customers include Alpha Networks, AT4 Wireless, Airspan, Intel, ipAccess (supplying Thomson), Ubiquisys (supplying NEC and Motorola), Willtek, Xinwei Telecom, and a number of other major OEMs and ODMs.

Our processors are the industry-standard for WiMAX basestations, and we were the first company to develop a femtocell modem. We continue this innovation with developmentproducts for TD-SCDMA, LTE and 4G.

As well as our own in-house developmentsR&D, we pursue an active policy of collaboration with leading third-party developers, and are active on standards committees and industry forumsforaforums. We have development partnerships with some of the leading lights of the wireless industry, including GWT, China’s BUPT, L&T Infotech, Systems4Silicon, and Cambridge Consultants. picoChip is a founder and serving board member of the Femto Forum, and Principal Member of WiMAX Forum.

At the Best of WiMAX World Awards 2007, picoChip won a hat-trick of awards; Chip Design; Industry Innovation; and Industry Choice. We were recently awarded a place on LIGHT READING’s prestigious “Top Ten Private Companies” list, recognized in the Red Herring Global 100 Awards, and the unprecedented recipient of three ELEKTRA European Electronics 2007 awards.
